December 21, 2016

Ali Forsyth and Blake Signal joined the growing number of Team Henselite 2016 World Champions as they put on a dominant display in the Fours final at Burnside Bowls Club last week.

Nelson raised, Melbourne-based Ali, skipped his team which also included Mike Nagy and Mike Kernaghan to a 23-4 landslide victory against Australia in the final after finishing the sectional rounds undefeated.

"It feels really good, " Ali told Bowl NZ. "I've had a few close misses and a few big disappointments. To be able to get through a full week like that and not drop a game, [is] unbelievable, I'm really proud of that effort."

"Right from the get-go we've put some really good sides under the pump through constant pressure."

Blake Signal was delighted to win a Gold medal at his first World Championships and Ali adds this latest medal to the Bronze he won at the 2008 World Bowls tournament.

Ali and Blake's victory in the Fours brings the total number of World Championship Gold Medals for Team Henselite to 7.
